Before Iran’s June 12, 2009 national election, no one knew her name.  Days later, the martyrdom-murder of Neda Agha-Soltan reminds a troubled world that freedom isn’t free!
Tyrannical oppression of dissent doesn’t take kindly to fair elections or public protests.  Its been alleged that the vote count in one Iranian town exceeded its population with an alleged 141% turnout. 
When protests exploded on the streets, a brutal dictatorship did what brutal dictatorships do best---cracked down on their own citizens with truncheons, arrests, bullets and violent death.
They killed the 27-year-old Neda but her life and death inspires!
Four days after the Iranian "election" fiasco, 811 Smithville voters showed on June 16, 2009, to express preferences at the local polls.  In contrast to Iran’s corrupt suppression of citizen opinion, freedom in Tennessee walked away the hands down winner.  Remarkably, in a small town population......more

The following two Dwayne Page articles are reprinted as originally published online by Smithville radio station WJLE, June 25, 2009.  The first explains the serious problem at the City’s water plant. The second is a follow-up report, later in the day, that thanks to a used part found in Sparta, the system was fixed temporarily by the emergency "band-aid," hours before the City ran out of water.
